SoundCloud Volume Booster

SoundCloud hosts a lot of unmastered and self-released music, so levels vary far more than on a curated streaming service. Because SoundCloud audio is not DRM-protected, you can capture the tab in Chrome or Edge and amplify a quiet track directly.

Boost a SoundCloud track

Drop an audio or video file here, or choose one. It is processed on your device and never uploaded.

Tab audio capture needs Chrome or Edge on desktop. File boosting works everywhere.

Processed on your device — nothing is uploaded. Loud audio can damage hearing: lower your system volume before boosting, then raise it gradually.

What to expect from an unmastered upload

Lower average level
Often several decibels below a commercial release, simply because no one applied the final gain stage a mastering engineer would.
More dynamic range, not less
Unmastered mixes frequently have more headroom and more life than heavily limited commercial masters. Quiet is not the same as worse.
Inconsistency between tracks
Two uploads from the same artist can differ substantially, because each was bounced at whatever level the session happened to sit at.
Room to boost cleanly
All that unused headroom is what makes these files respond well to gain — you are filling space that was left empty rather than fighting a ceiling.

Why levels vary so much here

Commercial releases pass through a mastering stage where an engineer sets the final level against an established reference. A track uploaded straight from a bedroom session has not had that step, so it may sit 10 dB or more below a mastered release.

That is not a defect — an unmastered mix often has more headroom and more dynamic range than a commercial master. It just plays quieter. Amplifying it at playback recovers the level, and the loudness enhancer will get closer to commercial loudness if that is what you want.

Frequently asked questions

Can I download boosted audio from SoundCloud?

No. This tool processes audio for playback only and does not download or save anything. Downloading tracks is governed by SoundCloud's terms and the rights holder's permissions.

Why is one track much quieter than the next?

Different mastering, or none at all. SoundCloud does not normalize as aggressively as the major streaming platforms, so source differences come through directly.
